Economic development and transportation were the hot topics at the first ever West Baton Rouge Parish round-table discussion between its mayors and Parish President on March 30 at the West Baton Rouge Chamber’s March meeting at the Addis Community Center.
As with any discussion on capital area economics, traffic was an inevitable conversation.
“The economy is going to be limited – in fact it’s going to be frustrated – if we don’t find a way to address transportation, and I know you are all on the same page,” said Holy Family Church’s Father David Allen. “What can you do – what do we need to do – to help baton rouge, capital area and D.C. recognize that that it’s not time for action, it’s 20 years late for a time for action.”
