2019 Legislative Priorities
The West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce has established the following policy positions for the 2021 State Legislative Session that impact economic competitiveness and for our organization to further serve as the voice of business and promote a high quality of life for West Baton Rouge Parish. We will oppose and / or support legislation that impacts these policies. Click here to view.
Local Government
On the local level, West Baton Rouge Parish is governed by a parish council with President Riley Berthelot, Jr. at the helm. More about the Parish Council, can be found here. Additionally, West Baton Rouge Parish has three incorporated areas – Port Allen (Mayor Richard Lee), Brusly (Mayor Scot Rhodes), and Addis (Mayor David Toups) with local police departments. The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department is responsible for law enforcement in all of the unincorporated areas.
