Economic Development

This last year was a banner year for the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and West Baton Rouge Parish, and we know 2016 will be just as fruitful. Our parish is representative of a true coalition of the parish government, local municipalities, school board, the West Baton Rouge Chamber as well as numerous civic and business groups. A collaborative community effort saw us welcome new companies into West Baton Rouge and assist others in expanding their respective operations. For the New Year, West Baton Rouge Parish is projected to have the largest percentage of job growth in the Capital Region. This is the second year in a row we have been on top of this list. Additionally, together, we will concentrate economic development efforts on bringing in new retail to area. If you have an existing business or looking for help starting one, check out our Employer Resources portal.
